How to log in to eConnect Control via identity.econnect.eu. Learn how SSO, the Remember option and password recovery work.

eConnect Control is accessible at control.econnect.eu. Control runs on the PSB identity server at identity.econnect.eu. This is a different login page from the legacy Platform (platform.econnect.eu) — the accounts are not interchangeable.

The correct login page

A Platform account does not work on identity.econnect.eu, and a PSB/Control account does not work on platform.econnect.eu. The wrong login page is by far the most common cause of "my account does not exist". Not sure? Try both.

Step 1: Receive your credentials

You cannot create a Control account yourself. Once your account is ready, you will receive a secured form via email from eConnect where you can view your login credentials. This form contains your username and a temporary password.

Do you have a Silver or Gold SLA subscription and don't have access yet? Contact [email protected] and we'll arrange it for you.

Step 2: First time login

Go to control.econnect.eu and enter your username and the password you received through the secured form. You can use this password directly — no mandatory change on first login. It is recommended to set your own password as soon as possible via your account settings.

Step 3: Change your password

You can change your password at any time. Click Account in the top-right corner and then click Password in the menu that unfolds. You will need your current password.

"Remember" and automatic redirection

On identity.econnect.eu you will see a Remember checkbox when logging in. When this is enabled:

  • The portal remembers which domain you last logged in with (for example your company domain with Single Sign-On).
  • On your next login you are automatically directed to the correct identity provider — no need to enter your domain again.

Working from a shared computer or want to temporarily log in with a different account? Uncheck Remember, or explicitly log out first. Otherwise the portal will keep redirecting you to the previous company SSO.

Two-factor authentication

Control supports two-factor authentication (2FA) for added account security. When 2FA is enabled, you need a verification code in addition to your password when logging in. You receive this code through an authenticator app on your phone.

Logging in via Single Sign-On (Microsoft, Google or your organisation's own identity provider)? eConnect itself does not request a second factor — that is handled by your organisation's identity provider. 2FA settings on the eConnect side only apply to accounts with their own password.

Tip: enable two-factor authentication when it becomes available for your account. It adds an important layer of security, especially if you work with sensitive documents.

Troubleshooting login issues

Can't log in? First check that you're using the correct address: control.econnect.eu (not platform.econnect.eu). The login credentials for Control are not interchangeable with those of the legacy platform.

Forgot your password? When you go to control.econnect.eu you are automatically redirected to the login page at identity.econnect.eu. Here you will find the Forgot password option to set a new password, provided you have previously verified your email address. Unable to reset or haven't completed the verification step? Contact [email protected].

Note: if you log in at platform.econnect.eu instead of control.econnect.eu, you will end up in the legacy platform. This is a different system with different credentials.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Control supports Single Sign-On via Microsoft (Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD), Google Workspace and your own OpenID Connect-compatible identity provider. For step-by-step setup of a new IDP, including redirect URIs and client secret: see Configure SSO.

With SSO, your identity provider handles the second factor. eConnect does not request an additional 2FA code; the 2FA settings on the eConnect side only apply to accounts with their own password. Per environment an IDP restriction can be set so that only users from that specific IDP can log in.

Difference with platform.econnect.eu

Control and the legacy platform are two separate systems. The platform at platform.econnect.eu is the familiar portal for sending and receiving invoices. Control at control.econnect.eu is the new interface built on the PSB. The accounts are independent: you need separate login credentials for each system.

Both systems exist side by side during the current transition period. Eventually, Control will replace the legacy platform entirely.

Frequently asked questions
What if I have forgotten my password?

Go to control.econnect.eu and follow the redirect to identity.econnect.eu. Click Forgot password and enter your email address. This feature only works if your email address has been verified. If you don't receive a reset email, contact [email protected].

What if I accidentally log in at platform.econnect.eu instead of control.econnect.eu?

These are two separate systems with different credentials. Platform.econnect.eu is the legacy portal. For Control, go to control.econnect.eu. The accounts are independent.

What if I want to enable two-factor authentication?

Control supports 2FA for added security. If 2FA is available for your account, you can activate it via your account settings. You will then need a verification code from an authenticator app in addition to your password. Logging in via SSO? Your identity provider handles the second factor.

What if the Remember checkbox redirects me incorrectly?

The Remember checkbox remembers the domain of your last login. If it redirects incorrectly (e.g. on a shared computer)? Uncheck Remember or explicitly log out first. After that you can re-enter your domain at the next login.
