Where to find the keys to connect your client

Where to find the connection keys after your client has accepted the authorisation request.

After the client has accepted an authorisation request, the partnership is active and you can retrieve the connection keys for the client's organisation. With these keys you connect the client's accounting software to eConnect.

Retrieve keys
Step 1: Go to Partners

Log in to platform.econnect.eu and go to Partners. Select the partnership with your client.

Step 2: Open the client organisation

Navigate to the client's organisation for which you want to set up the connection.

Step 3: Go to Connections

Go to Connections or Connect software and select the client's software package.

Step 4: Generate the keys

Generate the connection keys (App Key and Secret).

Copy the Secret immediately: it is only shown once. If you lose it, you must create a new set of keys.

Enter the keys
Step 1: Open the software settings

Open the settings of the client's software package and go to the section for e-invoicing or eConnect.

Step 2: Enter the keys

Enter the App Key and Secret.

Step 3: Test the connection

Save and test the connection.

For packages that support Quick Connect (such as Yuki, WhiteVision, Basecone) you can paste the keys with CTRL+V in one go.

Per client or per organisation?

Each client organisation has its own set of connection keys. If you manage multiple clients, repeat the process per client. The API key can be the same for all clients, but the organisation identifier is unique per client.

Lost the keys?

If you have lost the Secret, you cannot view it again. In that case create a new set of connection keys for the relevant organisation. The old keys are automatically invalidated; do not forget to update the new keys in the software as well.

No access to the connection keys?

If you cannot find or retrieve the connection keys, check:

  • Has the authorisation request been accepted? (status must be "Active")
  • Do you have the right role? (advanced user or administrator)
  • Are you a member of the client organisation in the partnership?
