eVerbinding is now eConnect, what has changed?

The name change from eVerbinding to eConnect explained: what has changed and what stayed the same.

In short: eVerbinding was the trade name under which eConnect International B.V. operated. Due to internationalisation, the trade name was changed to eConnect. The platform, your account and all your settings were carried over unchanged. You do not need to reconfigure anything.

eConnect International B.V. has always been the official company name. Until 2020, the company used eVerbinding as its trade name for the platform and all customer communications. As internationalisation became increasingly important, the trade name was also changed to eConnect. The platform, services and technology remained the same; only the name and branding were updated.

What does this mean for you?

For existing users very little has changed. Your account, organisations, invoices and settings were all carried over unchanged. You do not need to reconfigure anything.

A few practical points:

  • Login at platform.econnect.eu. The old URL (everbinding.nl) no longer works.
  • Email addresses for submitting invoices have been updated. The old addresses with @everbinding.nl have been replaced by @econnect.eu variants. If you have set up email forwarding rules, verify that they point to the correct address.
  • Support is available at support.econnect.eu instead of the old support portal.
  • Invoices from eConnect now show the name eConnect International B.V. instead of eVerbinding.
Check your forwarding rules

If you submit invoices via an email forwarding rule (for example from your accounting software or mailbox), check whether the forwarding address has been updated. The old @everbinding.nl addresses are no longer processed.

Make sure emails from the eConnect domain are not forwarded. If confirmation emails from eConnect are forwarded back to the platform, this can cause a loop. Create an exception for emails from the domain econnect.eu.

Renamed platform terms

As of 13 December 2022, several terms in the eConnect platform were renamed. If you have documentation or manuals that still refer to the old names, you can use this table to translate them.

Where does eVerbinding still appear in my software?

Some software packages still use the old name "eVerbinding" in their interface. This can be confusing, but the functionality is identical: wherever you see "eVerbinding", it refers to the connection with eConnect. Below you can find per package where you may encounter the old name.

PackageWhere you encounter eVerbindingAFAS"Communicatie eVerbinding" or "EVE - Communicatie met eVerbinding"AcceptFolder "eVerbinding" or "eFactuur/eVerbinding"BaseNetSection "eVerbinding accounts"KING Software"eVerbinding instellingen" (depending on version)Symsys9Fields "eVerbinding appkey", "eVerbinding geheim" and "eVerbinding gebruiker"KomasSection "Digipoort" (historical name for the connection)

If you encounter the name "eVerbinding" in software not listed here, it is very likely the same connection. You do not need to change any settings; the connection works via eConnect.
