Accept your accountant's authorisation request

Accept an authorisation request as a client: from the email to the approval on the platform.

Has your accountant or intermediary sent an authorisation request via eConnect? By accepting it, you give them access to set up your e-invoicing and connect your accounting software. Accepting is simple and secure.

Receiving the request

You receive an email from eConnect notifying you that an authorisation request is ready for you. The email contains an activation link that takes you directly to the request.

Tip: No email received? Check your spam folder. If the request cannot be found, ask your accountant to resend it.

Accepting with an existing account

Click the activation link in the email you received from eConnect.

Step 2: Log in

Log in with your existing eConnect account.

Step 3: Verify and accept

You see the authorisation request with the details of the requester (your accountant or intermediary). Verify the details are correct and click Accept.

The partnership is created immediately. Your accountant now has access to your organisation and can set up the software connection.

Accepting without an eConnect account

Click the activation link in the email.

Step 2: Create an account

You are asked to create a new account. Fill in your email address and a password.

Step 3: Activate your account

Activate your account via the confirmation email you receive.

Step 4: Add your organisation

Add your organisation to your environment by searching by Chamber of Commerce number or company name.

Step 5: Accept the authorisation

Accept the authorisation request.

After acceptance your environment is linked to your accountant's.

What happens after acceptance?

After accepting the authorisation request, a partnership is automatically created between your environment and your accountant's. This partnership means:

  • Your accountant can retrieve the connection keys needed to connect your software.
  • Your accountant gains access to the organisations for which the authorisation was granted.
  • Your accountant can view and manage invoices on behalf of your organisation.

You always retain full control over your environment and organisations. The partnership gives your accountant access, but you remain the owner.

Declining an authorisation

If you do not want to accept the request, you can ignore it or actively decline it. Your accountant receives a notification that the request was not accepted.

Multiple holdings

If you are the first user creating a new environment via an authorisation request, you automatically become Administrator. Every subsequent user who is added via an invitation or authorisation receives the default role Basic user.
