Why an invoice sometimes cannot be saved and how to resolve the most common causes.
If you try to save an invoice and the platform shows an error or does not save, required data is usually missing. The platform checks whether the minimum requirements are met when saving.
The supplier field is empty or the details are incomplete. Click the pencil icon next to the supplier field and reselect your organisation. See also The Supplier field is empty.
No recipient (debtor) has been selected. Search for the recipient via the debtor field using Chamber of Commerce number, company name or OIN number.
An invoice must contain at least one invoice line with a description, quantity, unit price and VAT rate.
The amount field only accepts numeric input with a comma as decimal separator. Enter amounts as 100,00, not as € 100,00, 100.00 or with spaces. If you enter a currency symbol, a dot as decimal separator or a space, the field is cleared when saving.
Next to the debtor's OrganisationID, the "Send via" field must also be filled in. This determines which channel the invoice is sent through. Without this setting the invoice can be saved as a draft, but cannot be sent.
For some organisations "Sending of documents" has not yet been enabled. This must be done by support. If you have filled in everything correctly but still cannot save or send the invoice, contact support via support.econnect.eu.
If you cannot complete the invoice yet (for example because you do not have certain details), you can save the invoice as a draft. Drafts are preserved and you can complete and send them later. Click Save as draft instead of Send.
