Change your organisation's address, name or logo

How to change your organisation's address, name or logo on the eConnect platform.

The company details on the eConnect platform (such as the organisation name, address and Chamber of Commerce number) are automatically retrieved from the Chamber of Commerce database via Purple Pages. Changes to these details must therefore first be made at the source. You can set your company logo directly yourself.

Change address or name
Step 1: Change the details at the Chamber of Commerce

Submit the name change or address change at the Chamber of Commerce. This is the official source.

Step 2: Wait for synchronisation

The platform retrieves company details via Purple Pages, a database that is periodically updated. It can take a few days to weeks before the new details are available.

Step 3: Refresh the details on the platform

Go to My environment > Organisations, click the organisation name and choose Refresh details. The platform retrieves the most recent data from Purple Pages. If the details are still outdated after refreshing, contact CustomerSupport to request a manual synchronisation.

It is possible that multiple trade names are registered under one Chamber of Commerce number. In that case, a dropdown menu appears from which you can choose the desired trade name. It is not possible to save multiple administrations with different trade names under one Chamber of Commerce number.

After refreshing, the updated details are used in all new invoices.

Non-Dutch organisations

For organisations outside the Netherlands the refresh process does not work automatically, because Purple Pages primarily contains Dutch and Belgian company data. Submit a support request via support.econnect.eu with the new details; the support team will update them manually.

What details can you change after activation?

Not all details can be changed after activation. The table below shows what you can change yourself, what goes via support, and what is permanently fixed.

For PSB accounts: techsupport performs an API call (not self-service).

Key rule: the primary identification number (Chamber of Commerce number, OIN or KBO number) is permanently fixed after activation. To change it, the organisation must be re-activated. Other details such as IBAN, GLN and VAT number can be changed, but must be re-validated before they become active. Re-activation is not required for these.

Change invoice name

The name on your invoices is automatically based on the organisation name in the platform. To change the name, the change must first be made at the Chamber of Commerce. You can then retrieve the new name via My environment > Organisations > Refresh details (see step 3 above).

Change company name in the Peppol Directory

The company name in the public Peppol Directory is published by the registering Service Provider (SP) -- the party that manages your Peppol registration in the SMP. A Participant Identifier can only be registered with one SP at a time. A name change in the Directory must therefore be requested from the SP that holds your registration.

Registration with eConnect

Update your organisation name via My environment > Organisations > select organisation > edit. The PSB then automatically updates the businessCard. The updated name is usually visible in the Peppol Directory within a few hours to a day -- publication is asynchronous.

Registration with another SP

If your Peppol registration is held by another SP (for example your software vendor or another onboarding partner), eConnect cannot change the businessCard. Contact that SP directly.

If you want eConnect to manage your Peppol Directory publication going forward, a migration to eConnect is required via a migration key. See Unregister and migrate on Peppol.

You can add a company logo to the PDF view of your e-invoices. The logo is placed on the PDF view generated by eConnect of your XML e-invoice. This PDF can also be embedded and sent along with the XML e-invoice, so the logo travels with Peppol delivery.

Step 1: Open the home screen

Click the orange "e" icon in the top left of the platform.

Step 2: Select the organisation

Click the organisation name of the organisation you want to set the logo for.

Step 3: Go to Details

Go to the Details tab.

Upload your logo via the designated button.

The logo automatically appears on all new invoices you send.

The platform supports the formats PNG, JPEG, BMP and WebP. SVG and GIF are not supported. Preferably upload an image of no more than 2 MB. There are no fixed dimension requirements, but a larger image is recommended: the platform automatically scales it down without quality loss.

Tip: during PDF generation, a transparent background is removed, leaving only the logo itself. Preferably upload a logo with a white or coloured background if you want a uniform appearance.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change my company name on the platform?

No, the organisation name is linked to the Chamber of Commerce registration. A name change must first be made at the Chamber of Commerce. You can then retrieve the new name via My environment > Organisations > Refresh details. It can take a few days to weeks before the change is available in Purple Pages.

Can I change the PDF layout of my invoices?

No, eConnect uses a generic PDF template for all customers. The PDF layout is not customisable per customer. On the new platform (PSB/Control), PDF generation is actively being developed with more flexibility, but no date has been announced yet for when this will be available.

How do I change the details of a non-Dutch organisation?

For organisations outside the Netherlands, the automatic refresh process does not work because Purple Pages primarily contains Dutch and Belgian company data. Submit a support request via support.econnect.eu with the new details. The support team will update them manually.

Can I change my Chamber of Commerce number after activation?

No. The Chamber of Commerce number (or OIN or Belgian KBO number) is the primary identification number of your organisation and is permanently fixed after activation. To change it, the organisation must be re-activated. Other details such as IBAN, GLN and VAT number can be changed via support or self-service, but require re-validation. Re-activation is not required for these.

PDF generation

eConnect uses one generic PDF template for all customers. The PDF layout is not customisable per customer. Changes to the generic PDF require a development ticket and are only implemented if the change benefits all customers.

PDF generation for outgoing invoices is currently available on the legacy platform (platform.econnect.eu). On the new platform (PSB/Platform 2.0), PDF generation is actively being developed with more flexibility, such as field overrides. No date has been announced yet for when this will be available.
