Van Meijel Automatisering and eConnect
How Van Meijel's construction software Metacom sends and receives e-invoices via eConnect over Peppol and DICO, with webinars for the construction sector.
A construction software specialist and a Peppol engine that together bring e-invoicing to the construction sector. Van Meijel's customers can send and receive e-invoices via Metacom over Peppol and DICO.
Van Meijel Automatisering is an automation specialist for the construction industry. Their own software platform Metacom focuses on process automation for construction, infrastructure and related organisations, with functionality covering calculation, finance, project monitoring and planning.
This places Van Meijel in a sector where invoice flows are more complex than in many other industries. Construction companies work with G-accounts, reverse-charge VAT and chain liability, and also exchange delivery notes, orders and invoices with subcontractors and main contractors.
In March 2023, eConnect and Van Meijel Automatisering announced their partnership. Through this collaboration, Van Meijel's customers can easily send and receive e-invoices via Metacom using Peppol and DICO. The choice of both Peppol and DICO suits the construction sector: Peppol as a broad international standard, DICO as a sector-specific format widely used in construction for delivery notes and invoices.
In October 2025, eConnect and Van Meijel jointly organised a webinar on digital invoicing and smart solutions for Metacom users. This makes the partnership not only technical but also actively used to inform customers about what e-invoicing means in their daily practice.
In the construction sector, the Van Meijel and eConnect chain is used for the typical administrative challenges of the industry. With e-invoicing via Peppol in the DICO format, G-account payment splits, reverse-charge VAT and chain liability information are sent structured in the message, so they no longer need to be derived manually.
For Metacom users, this means e-invoices arrive or depart via one route, regardless of whether the counterparty is a main contractor or subcontractor. eConnect handles the Peppol connection and DICO message processing; Van Meijel handles the connection within Metacom.
Construction and infrastructure companies working with Metacom that want to digitalise their invoice flow get, through this partnership, a direct route to Peppol and DICO without building their own interfaces. The approach suits both main contractors wanting to automate incoming invoices from subcontractors and subcontractors wanting to send their sales invoices via a structured channel.
For other sector-specific software partners, this is an example of how sectoral standards like DICO can be supported alongside Peppol through one chain, without the software provider needing to maintain their own Access Point.
We are happy to discuss in a personal conversation how this chain fits your construction software environment and which partner model goes with it.
