Software vendors that want to offer Peppol functionality to their customers do not need to obtain their own Peppol certification. As a white-label partner, you operate entirely under eConnect's Peppol certificate. That saves the cost and lead time of a separate certification process, while your customers still benefit from a fully certified Peppol connection.
ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) makes e-invoicing and near real-time CTC reporting mandatory across Europe. More and more countries already enforce their own mandate: Germany (since January 2025), Belgium (since January 2026), France, Italy and Romania each have their own timeline. eConnect is prepared for those reporting obligations and does not bill them separately. Status messages, evidence files, CTC reporting messages and Invoice Message Responses are all included in the document price. With most competitors, every technical message counts as a separate transaction, which means a single invoice quickly costs three to four times the transaction price.
In its report "Develop a Global E-Invoicing Compliance Strategy" (G00825598, July 2025) Gartner advises multinational organisations to consolidate to one e-invoicing partner across all countries. eConnect scores on the five criteria Gartner identifies as decisive: integration depth, compliance coverage, scalability, network breadth and user experience. That makes the choice for one European partner not an assumption, but an independently validated starting point.
eConnect combines technical reliability with deep Peppol expertise. As co-founder of the Dutch Peppol Authority (NPa) and board member of OpenPeppol, we are directly involved in standard development. This means you always stay ahead of new developments, without having to follow all the technical details yourself.
In practice, this is reflected in the redundancy of our network: eConnect operates a minimum of five Access Points simultaneously. Traffic is automatically distributed and in case of failure, another Access Point takes over seamlessly. With more than 12 million documents per year and 20.000+ connected organisations, scalability is proven. Moreover, as an eConnect customer you are automatically ViDA-ready, meaning you are prepared for the European requirements for digital reporting to tax authorities. The combination of free entry via the invoice portal, direct software integrations and personal support makes eConnect suitable for organisations of any size.
Most Peppol providers run on one or two Access Points. This makes them vulnerable: if that single point is unreachable, invoices do not arrive. eConnect deliberately takes a different approach with a minimum of five active Access Points. Volume is distributed across multiple points, ensuring there is never a single point of failure.
For your organisation, this means invoices always arrive, even during maintenance or unexpected disruptions. Your suppliers and customers notice nothing of technical changes in the background. Additionally, the distributed architecture makes it possible to handle peak loads, for example around quarter-end closings when invoice volume increases significantly. This reliability is not just a technical advantage, it is a prerequisite for organisations that take their invoicing process seriously.
eConnect serves organisations of every size and in every sector. Via the free invoice portal you can start immediately with sending e-invoices via Peppol, without technical knowledge or costs. This makes entry easy, including for small businesses and freelancers.
For larger organisations we offer advanced capabilities: direct integration via the REST API, integrations with more than 100 software packages, and support for the complete purchase-to-pay chain including orders, despatch advices and status messages. In sectors such as healthcare, government and construction, we meet strict certification requirements with ISO 27001, NEN 7510 and ISAE 3402 Type II. Whether you send five invoices per month or five thousand per day, the infrastructure scales with your needs.
Yes, via the white-label partnership of eConnect you can offer Peppol functionality under your own brand. You do not need to obtain your own Peppol certification, which saves significant lead time and costs. You operate entirely under eConnect's Peppol certificate, while your customers benefit from a complete, certified Peppol connection.
The integration runs via the PSB REST API, which is fully documented with Swagger UI, OAuth2 authentication and webhooks for real-time notifications. Multiple software vendors have already successfully followed this route. The result: your customers invoice via Peppol, you retain the customer relationship, and eConnect handles the technical infrastructure in the background.
eConnect holds a broad set of certifications that is unusual in the Dutch Peppol market. We are certified for ISO 27001, the international standard for information security that is mandatory for Peppol Service Providers in the Netherlands. Additionally, we hold NEN 7510, the supplementary standard for information security in healthcare, and ISAE 3402 Type II, an independent assurance report on internal control measures.
This combination is relevant for organisations in sectors with strict requirements for their suppliers. Healthcare institutions, government bodies and financial institutions regularly ask for these certifications before entering into a partnership. With eConnect as Access Point, you can demonstrate to your own stakeholders and auditor that your invoicing chain is demonstrably under control.
Additionally, we conduct annual independent penetration tests to assess the security of our infrastructure. As co-founder of the Dutch Peppol Authority (NPa) and board member of OpenPeppol, we are also directly involved in the development of security and compliance standards for the Peppol network.
ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) is the European package of measures that gradually makes e-invoicing and near real-time reporting to the tax authorities mandatory for B2B transactions. Germany started with the receiving obligation in January 2025, Belgium followed in January 2026, and France, Italy, Poland and Romania each have their own timeline. For multinational organisations this means that, alongside the invoice itself, technical reporting messages have to be exchanged per country.
eConnect is prepared for those reporting messages: the Procurement Service Bus (PSB) automatically generates the right status messages, CTC reports, evidence files and Invoice Message Responses for every country where you operate. The difference with other providers is in the pricing model. With most competitors every technical follow-up message counts as a separate transaction, which means a single invoice costs three to four times the transaction price. With eConnect all CTC overhead is included in the document price. You pay once per document, regardless of how many messages are exchanged in the background. For organisations with large international volumes that is a direct and demonstrable cost advantage.
With most Peppol providers, invoice traffic runs via one or two Access Points. If that Access Point is unreachable (due to maintenance, an outage or a cyber attack), invoices do not arrive. This is a real risk, especially around quarter-end closings when invoice volume increases significantly.
eConnect has deliberately eliminated this risk by operating a minimum of five Access Points simultaneously. Volume is automatically distributed across multiple points. Should one Access Point become unreachable, another takes over seamlessly. Your suppliers and customers notice nothing. This redundancy is complemented by active monitoring that detects disruptions before they have impact.
The infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure and is designed to handle peak loads: processing capacity is 200.000 messages per hour. With a proven uptime of 99,99% and more than 12 million processed documents per year, scalability is not just a promise but a daily reality. This reliability is one of the reasons eConnect is also the supplier of the Dutch Government Access Point on Peppol.
A single conversation is enough to discuss your situation and the best connection route.
