You connect ECI Inventive in 2026 with eConnect via the SOAP API. This is a complex setup that cannot be performed by the customer themselves; the configuration is done by ECI or in collaboration with eConnect.

Before you start

An active eConnect account with at least a Professional subscription
Your eConnect connection keys (App Key and Secret)
Contact with ECI for the technical setup

Setting up the integration

Step 1: Create connection keys

Create connection keys in the eConnect platform. Follow the steps in Creating connection keys.

Step 2: Activate DNA functions

ECI must activate the following functions in your Inventive environment: E-Facturen, Aanmaken E-Facturen, E-Inkoopfacturen, E-inkoopfactuurregels, Inkoop e-factuur naar inkoopfactuur, E-verbinding Gebruikersgroepen and E-verbinding koppelen. Contact ECI to arrange this.

Step 3: Assign permissions

After activating the functions, assign permissions to user groups via Gebruikersgroepen Desktop on the Functie privileges & eigenschappen tab.

Step 4: Configure preferences

Go to Financieel voorkeuren administratie and fill in the following fields under the eConnect heading: Klant Key, Klant geheim, Gemaakt door, Aflever E-mailadres and Bedrijfs-ID.

Then set the Access URL and Name Space in Financieel voorkeuren db:

Access URL: https://api.econnect.nl/soap/v3/
Name Space: http://api.econnect.nl/v3/

Step 5: Set up batch jobs

Create two batch jobs: one for importing e-invoices and one for updating invoice statuses. Set up a recurring schedule.

Important: This is a time-consuming task that cannot be performed by the customer. Have the configuration done by ECI or the eConnect tech team.
